If I am interested in obtaining a loan or know of someone who could use a micro-loan, where do I go?
All Praise Forward loans must be initiated through a Community Champion. If you live in the Triangle area and do not know a Community Champion, please email your address and contact information to Praise Forward (info@praiseforward.org); our volunteer staff will check to see if a Champion lives in your local community and connect you if possible.
Why does Praise Forward lend money rather than giving it away?
While our micro-lending program is charitable, it is not strictly charity. We are following the adage “teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” We believe that successfully using and repaying a Praise Forward loan is a step toward creating a cycle of financial growth, not only for the Borrower but for their family and their community.

Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, your donations are 100% tax deductible. Praise Forward is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
How did Praise Forward start?
The founders of Praise Forward met at Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh, North Carolina, in a Sunday class which focuses on developing oneness within the Church. One class series dealt with historic reasons it has been difficult for the Black community in the US to build generational wealth. Past discriminatory practices, present attitudes, and a lack of effective government programs and reforms were discussed. The unfairness sparked a flame in the founders and a desire to make a difference.
Does Praise Forward make emergency loans?
No. Praise Forward does not make emergency loans. Our focus is to provide funds to Borrowers who will use the loan to get ahead but who are already able to live within their current budget.
